In order to take on Reliance Jio, every other telecom companies are offering new recharge plans for their customers every now and then amidst all this the famous telecom company Bharti Airtel is on roll nowadays and have yet again managed to launch a new prepaid plan worth Rs 249 and has also revised its existing RS 349 plan to offer more data per day.
Airtel has introduced a new Rs 249 plan for its prepaid users. Under the plan, the telecom operator is offering 2GB data every day along with unlimited STD and local calls for a period of 28 days. Overall, Airtel is offering a total of 56GB 3G or 4G data for the validity period. In addition, under the Rs 249 plan, Bharti Airtel is offering a 100 SMSes per day, which in total it means that the telco is offering a total of 3000 SMSes in the complete 28 days.
In comparison, Reliance Jio’s Rs 299 plan offers a total of 84GB of 4G data for a validity period of 28 days, similar to that of the Airtel. Although the price of the Jio plan is more than that of Airtel, Jio’s Rs 299 makes more sense if data matters to you. This is because, under the Rs 299 plan, Jio offers 3GB 4G data every day.
This in comparison to Airtel’s Rs 249 plan is almost 1GB more. Which definitely is a lot of data. To recollect, Jio had revised its prepaid as well as postpaid plans last November. Before the revision, Jio under the Rs 299 used to offer 2GB data everyday, it is only after the changes that Jio now offers 3GB data on a daily basis.
In addition, Jio under its Rs 299 prepaid plan also offers unlimited voice calling benefits both local and STD. The Rs 299 plan also offers access to al Jio Apps like JioCinema, Jio Music, Jio Voice calls and the rest. The plan also offers 100 SMSes per day for the validity period of 28 days.
Alongside introducing the new Rs 249 plan, Airtel has also made some changes to its existing Rs 349 plan, which is also available for the prepaid customers. After the revision, Airtel under its Rs 349 plan is offering 3GB data per day for a validity period of 28 days. Other benefits remain the same, like the — unlimited voice calls both local and STD and 100 SMSes per day for the complete validity duration.
Airtel must have revised the plan to take on Jio’s Rs 399, and looks like it very well succeeds in doing so. In comparison, Jio under its Rs 349 plan offers a total data of 105GB for a validity period of 70 days. The plan offers 1.5GB of 4G data every day which is almost half of what Airtel is now offering under the plan which costs the same. Other benefits that Jio offers with its Rs 349 plan are the same as Airtel’s plan like — unlimited STD and local calls and 100SMSes per day for the complete validity period.
