In order to take on Reliance Jio, various famous telecom operators including Vodafone, Idea, BSNL and Airtel are grabbing headlines every now and then for offering new affordable recharge plans for their customers. Particularly talking about Bharti Airtel, it has launched its new Rs 299 recharge plan that offers unlimited calling, 100 SMSs per day on a validity of 45 days but this new plan will not offer data plans.
As per the reports, it is currently unclear, if the free SMS in this plan are valid while on roaming. Airtel’s new Rs 299 plan offers unlimited voice calling, and a validity of 45 days.
Having said that, it does come across as a great plan for people who are constantly on the move and their work entails a lot of calling. From that perspective, this Rs 299 plan comes across as a good option for a secondary device.
At this price range, Airtel also offers Rs 249 and Rs 349 combo plans that offer unlimited voice calling and oodles of data. But these plans come with a validity of only 28 days.
