Mumbai: Indian actress Bhumi Pendnekar who made her Bollywood debut with movie “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” in the year 2015, says she is glad that actresses now enjoy the luxury of dressing up according to their personal style.
Miss Bhumi said that young female stars now prefers to wear clothes of their own choice which gives them more comfortable and in the movie “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” she credits internet for this change.
The 27-year-old actress said she wishes to start her own make-up line one day.
Bhumi told media persons, “Today you have so many options, things have become global. We wear international designers. You won’t see actresses just wearing sarees or anarkalis to award functions or red carpets unlike how it was still a few years ago.”
The actress further added, “I think after online platform bloomed five years ago, there’s been a cross of style, exchange of culture has increased. That has changed fashion in India. Now, we can sort of identify our personal style, what we are comfortable in instead of following a pattern.”
Bhumi also feels actresses are more open to street shopping and cheaper brands now.
