New Delhi: Now, Facebook introduced parent’s portal in order to guide kids to find their ways safely. Parents are now empowered to advice kids on Facebook so that they could navigate carefully.
The social networking site Facebook jointly started a parent’s portal by teaming up with parents, teenagers and experts all around the world.
The site recently launched its new edition and updated its Safety centre has now launched parent’s portal which will include parent’s advice for kids to surf Facebook safely.
The new portal guide the parents on how to use Facebook and will also include advice for kids by parents on how to safely stay online and use Facebook. It is available in about 55 languages including 11 in India, is mobile friendly and includes step-by-step videos.
Ankhi Das, the social media site’s Public Policy Director, India, South and Central Asia went on to say that: “Parent’s Portal responds to feedback we have received about a knowledge gap among parents about our safety policies, tools and resources. With the new Safety Centre and Parent’s Portal, we worked with safety experts and local partners to develop content that resonates with our community.”
Dr Ranjana Kumari from Center for Social Research India further added: “Facebook’s Parent’s Portal is a great resource for parents who are looking to learn and work with their children to help keep them safe online. We’re pleased to partner with Facebook on these resources and offer help to parents in India through our Social Surfing initiative.”
