Dehradun: BJP leader Harak Singh Rawat has landed into trouble as the Uttarakhand Police has filed a rape case against him. Singh faces rape and harassment charges.
As per reports, an FIR was registered at Safadrgunj police station in the national capital following a complaint from a 32-year-old woman. In her complaint, the woman has asserted that she was sexually assaulted by Harak Singh Rawat two years back.
This is not the first time when a complaint has been registered against the BJP leader as in the past similar complaints have surfaced against the leader. In 2014, 30-year-old women had filed an FIR against Harish for molesting her.
Harak Singh Rawat was suspended this year in the month of May from Congress for being one of the ministers rebelling against Uttarakhand CM Harish Singh Rawat. Following suspension he joined BJP.
