Indian batsmen have landed their team in a commanding position on the second day at lunch and are heading for a mammoth score in the first innings of the second Test match played against Sri Lanka at Colombo.
India is 442 for 5 at lunch with lower middle order batsmen at the crease. Ashwin along with Saha is working hard to build partnership that can provide his team a decent total against Sri Lanka giving their bowlers ample of runs to play with.
Ashwin showed glimpse of some classy batting in the recent matches as well, not letting the opposition bowlers settle he made his presence felt as a batsmen. This time round he is nearing half century and is looking good at the crease.
Earlier, Rahane and Pujara laid the platform with their comprehensive centuries that made the Sri Lankan bowlers toil hard for wickets.
