India’s one of the top most companies Maruti is famous for its newest editions being launched almost every month and this time yet again it has managed to launch its brandnew car ‘Maruti Suzuki Celerio facelift’ in India.
Launched in 2014, Maruti Celerio was the first Indian car with the revolutionary Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology. Till now, the popular compact car has achieved the three-lakh sales mark within a short span of less than four years.
Commenting on the occasion, R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales), MSI, thanked customers for their support. “To mark this occasion, we have launched a new Celerio, which will delight the customers with its modern looks. The new model is also loaded with advanced safety features and meets pedestrian, offset and side impact regulation norms.”
The Celerio facelift gets a newly designed mesh grille that is topped with a chrome garnish along with new fog lamp bezels. The tailgate also gets garnishing and the rear bumper has been designed to give a fresh look.
The new black and greige interiors with abstract pattern on seats look more premium and it gets silver accents as well.
There is no mechanical change in the car and it continues to get 67PS of power and 90Nm of torque from the same 1-litre petrol engine. A five-speed manual transmission is standard across all the trims but the auto gear shift (AGS) is also available as an option. Besides the petrol, the Celerio is also available in CNG variant options.
The new Celerio meets pedestrian, offset and side impact regulations. It is the seventh model from Maruti Suzuki to meet new car safety norms ahead of its timelines. The car gets driver-side airbag and seat belt reminder as standard features while the passenger airbags and ABS are offered as an optional variant across all trims.
