Maximum withdrawal limit from ATMs hiked up to Rs 10000 per day

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today increased the maximum limits of withdrawing of money from ATMs and cheques.




In a big relief given to the common public given by the RBI has increased mamimum limit of transaction from Rs 4500 to Rs 10000 per day from ATMs.

On other hand, the apex bank has also increased maximum limit of withdrawing of money through cheque from Rs 50000 to Rs 100000 in one week from current account.




The governing body of banks hiked the daily ATM withdrawal limit from Rs 4,500 to Rs 10,000 and the weekly Current Account withdrawal limit from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh.

The withdrawals from ATMs will be operative within the existing overall weekly limit of Rs 24,000, a Reserve Bank of India communique said.
