In a recent update regarding the rift between Samajwadi Party, Former Samajwadi Party (SP) state president Shivpal Singh Yadav today stated that he might form new party post Uttar Pradesh Assemble polls.
Shival stated this while he was in Itawa and also according to the information given by the sources, Shivpal might form a new party after 11th March.
This move from Shivpal can be seen as a clear challenge to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav ahead of the assembly elections.
Shivpal Yadav is at present all set to contest election from the Jaswant Nagar seat. However, it will be interesting to see if he decides to go ahead forming a new party following assembly elections in UP.
This statement can be seen as a clear sign of rift in the Samajwadi Party that is lingering on now for several months and also puts an end to rumors that political war between Akhilesh Yadav and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav have been settled.
Akhilesh might suffer some loss with this revolt from leaders within the party, still things might not be that worse keeping in mind that Akhilesh Yadav has managed to make the most of his clear image despite of his spat within the family.
