Washington: As the white house released schedule for US President Donald Trump, it went on to disclose: “The President speaks with Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.” Trump is scheduled to talk with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over phone at 1 PM Washington DC time that means 11.30 PM. With this, Modi would be the fifth leader Trump would have spoken with over phone after his victory as the US President.
Earlier than this on January 20, Trump spoke with Mexican Premier Pena Nieto and Canadian Premier Justin Trudeau and on Sunday US President spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and yesterday he had a telephonic conversation with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
After the surprise victory of Trump in the general elections, Modi was among the first five leaders to have congratulated him. Trump expressed his wish to strengthen ties with India and few other countries if elected power.
While Trump addressed a group of people in Edison, New Jersey, he praised PM Modi for taking India into a vast development and went on to say that: “Under a Trump Administration, we are going to become even better friends, in fact I would take the term better out and we would be best friend. We are going to have a phenomenal future together. I look forward to working with Prime Minister Modi.”
